Off to Scotland, but......

August 17, 2008

Yep that’s right Maria and I will be in Scotland from the 20th - 31st. Plans are to swank the evenings away during the festival, hang out with relatives, help my dad move and possible have a sneaky trip to the beautiful Isle of Skye.

I do have my concerns about the length of travel, missing classes and having a disrupted Yoga Practice. This is always a dilemma for me, as my practice is pretty integrated to my way of life here in NYC. On one had I find the attachment to it disturbing, Yoga is about freedom and structure to me, it’s just something I do, something I have always done and something I always will. However when I get into a routine (which I happily have been for the past 6 months) it also gets into a habit, and dare I say it an addiction.

So do I break this habit throw caution to the wind and just have a break. Or do I squeeze my practice into the few free moments (and there are only a few hours and usually at 2 in the morning at that) that I can spare. Orrr do I dedicate time to the practice and possibly sacrifice time I usually don’t get with my relatives.

Will keep you up to date!

All Points West

Just a quick note to say Maria and I had a great time at all points west and will post photo’s on the our website. We had a great time, actually got VIP tickets to the last day (worth it for the toilets) and managed to catch Radiohead and the amazing Andrew bird. Yay for Jersey City.
